But then again, if we don't speak about these microaggressions women and other minorities in tech face, things will never change. This post was not easy to write, as most of the incidents I face are something that people do unconsciously, without any intent to hurt me. I wrote a blog post about these experiences. It's not just one workplace I've faced this pretty much in every workplace I've worked. Usually people don't mean it that way - and as isolated incidents, they could be just accidents. Me being left out of the meeting invite, even though I should be there. It's these small things - someone constantly talking over me in the meetings, my man colleague being asked about a feature, even though I'm leading its development. ![]() Throughout my career, I've felt invisible. ![]()
